Strictures for festival of Ganesh Utsavalu in vijayawada
The Vijayawada city police, on Tuesday, said that acquiring prior permission was mandatory to erect pandals and conduct Ganesh Utsavalu.
The police also issued a detailed list of directions that need to be followed during the celebrations to avoid untoward incidents and traffic snarls.
Everyone must obtain permission by applying at the unified police service centre situated at the city commissioner’s office. The police also issued strictures on setting up loudspeakers.
The pandal organising committees must ensure that the sound output does not exceed the permissible level of 55 decibels during the day and 45 decibels in the night. The speakers should be used only between 6 am and 10 pm.
The organisers should also inform the cops about the size of the idol, number of days the celebrations Would be held, date of immersion and the vehicle that Would be used for immersion.
